Delete your account
Last updated October 16, 2026
How to delete a Dipperfield account permanently, and what happens to its data.
Deleting cannot be undone. Export your plans first, and refund a recent charge before deleting: deletion cancels a subscription but does not refund it.
1. Delete on the account page
Sign in, open the account page, choose Delete account, and type your account's email address to confirm. Deletion takes effect at once. If you cannot sign in, write to us from the account's email address.
2. Before you delete
- Export your plans first if you want to keep them. The export is still encrypted, so keep your passphrase with it.
- Deleting cannot be undone. Signing in again with the same email address starts a new, empty account.
3. What happens
- An active subscription is canceled at once, with no refund. To get one, use the refund policy before you delete.
- Your customer record at Stripe is deleted. If Stripe cannot be reached, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
- Your account, every saved plan and every sign-in session are deleted from our servers, and you are signed out.
4. What remains
- The account store's point-in-time recovery holds a copy for up to 30 days, used only for disaster recovery.
- Stripe keeps its own payment records under its terms.
- Analytics events already sent stay with PostHog; none of them carries your email address.
